Joseph Appleyard's Commercial Work

THANK YOU FOR VISITING THIS SITE
WHICH IS CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION

This site gives examples of Joe's other commercial work which included
jig-saws, playing cards, sauce labels, toffee tins, pub signs, menu cards, birthday cards and who knows what else?

DAVID APPLEYARD - APRIL 2002

These commissions were menu cards for the Cunard Line.

Commissions came from varied sources.

Supposedly his first commission was a label for Tiger Sauce, in fact we even have the source!

Others that easily spring to mind are
toffee tins for Thornes Toffee, jigsaws for Waddingtons, Cunard menus
and the one that always got my mother was a pub sign for Tetleys.
It wasn't as you would have expected two flat sides to paint,

it was the whole illuminated box!
If you have, or know of the whereabouts, of any of Joe's work please contact us on our e-mail address
